8th Light [Voice/Text]

[The voice feed sounds fairly quiet at first, except for the fact that someone can be heard crying in the background. She probably doesn't even realize that the 'gear is recording. She continues for a moment, before she begins speaking. The voice is Ushio's, but she's never sounded quite so sad before.]

Mommy...

Daddy...

Does this...mean I failed? Will I ever see you again?

[She returns to quietly sobbing for a moment, before she's cut off by the mechanical sounds of her Golurk. After a moment, the sounds begin to move away from the gear. However, before the feed ends, a text is attached.]

She needs her friends.

I am sure you will see them again. Are you all right?

Only if I didn't fail.

[Yeah, he's...blunt. But he does sound concerned; he wants to help.]

I was supposed to gather lights in order to create a miracle.

So my family could live together happily.

Oh. [He tilts his head a little; that doesn't make much sense to him.]

Do you know for certain that you failed? You might not have. [He smiles reassuringly, even if she can't see it.]

I...don't know.

But if I'm here, we're not together.

It is always hard to be apart from the people you care about, but perhaps they will appear here too, or you will go home one day and see them again.

I thought I had gone back...but I ended up here again.

Or maybe it decided to bring them here instead.

Even if they are not here now, they might always appear later.

[He sounds completely certain of this. After all, he's desperately waiting for someone from home to show up too, so there's no reason why this girl's parents wouldn't.]

But I will be your friend in the meantime, if you like. My name is Temeraire, what is yours?

[Now that she thinks about it, people from her friend's worlds had appeared, so maybe it wasn't so far off that her parents might. Or so she hoped.]

I'm Ushio. Ushio Okazaki.

Well, it is very nice to meet you, Ushio. Even if the circumstances are not the best.

Are you from Japan? [He doesn't know a whole lot about Japanese names, but hers sounds like one.]

[You know what this is?

Laguna's suddenly gripping you so tight, Ushio. No questions, just hugs.]

[Ushio just sort of weakly returns the hug for now.]

This isn't what I wished for.

[That's all she manages to mumble, but unfortunately, she doesn't give any information other than that.]

[After a few moments, as Laguna rubs her back, he does speak, quietly.]
...Some bad memories, huh?
[He'd heard about these comas. He'll... he'll be here for her.]

I remember everything.

[Her mother died, she barely knew her father before she died, leaving him all alone. Then when she met him again, she once again died, hoping that her wish would become fulfilled.]

[Laguna isn't gonna ask more. When he remembered the Conflict, his death... well, he needed somebody to talk to. But children? He'll wait for her to be ready.]
Well... I don't know what you remembered, but I'm... I'll be here to help you, Ushio.

[There really isn't much else to say right now. She's really not ready to talk about everything, but she's glad that she has people to support her.

She hugs Laguna a little tighter now.]

What happened!? Did you remember something about your past?! [ Momo remembers this girl was the only girl at her home without memories of why. If she remembers her parents.... ]

I...remember everything.

[Her parents, her life, and her death.]

I don't really know how to explain it.

It's okay. Take your time. If you ever come up with the words, I'm still here to listen.

That doesn't mean it's the end of your life. [ Momo... is kinda apathetic to death. she deals with it all the time. ] There's plenty of things to do even after you die!

This is me after I died.

I created...no...I became a world where I could try and make my wish come true.

What was your wish? And yeah, I know! But, as I said, there's a lot to do after you die! An afterlife exists, after all.

I just wanted my family to live happily together.

Are they? I hope they are!

I don't know. If I'm here...we're not together though, right?

Well, if you're here that's like everyone. The world pauses and then you go back from the exact moment you're taken from. So, if your family was around beforehand, they'd definitely be there if you get back.
